re-importing without having to first delete Items with same Title ? (ie "overwrite" existing articles with same Title)

Hi !

As already mentionned, I use the Import function a lot.

In theory, you import your Items once and you're happy for the rest of your life.
But in practice, I have to reimport the same items many many times (because people change/improve their content).

If I reimport already existing Items without first deleting them, I noticed that the import does not fail : it simply creates items with the same Title and Alias, simply giving a new ID.
But how could I reimport them without having to first delete them ?
- maybe there could be an option in the Import configuration to say "check this box to overwrite existing Items if they have same Title"
- or maybe is there already some indirect solution, like specifying the ID of each item in the CSV file : but what does FlexiContent if the given ID already exists ? Overwrite or leave unchanged ?

I would be very happy if you could clarify this point :-)

Hello

yes that is meant to be implemented,

either by using the FLEXIcontent item ID or by detecting if an item with same title exists

- currently the task only supports importing new content and not updating existing content

for v3.2

Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

that's great news !
updating existing content is interesting (on github you mention the idea of exporting/reimporting, but like in my case I don't even export : the source data are in a different file, let's say a Google Spreadsheet coupled with a Google Form).

Txs.
I'll be patient until 3.2 then :-)
