Hi FC Team,

firstly, I want to say how super cool but more importantly how super useful and user friendly Field Grouping is.

As i read in the documentation, in some Github issues and by trying myself; for now file field (for download) can not be added to a field group. But since we can see a lot of activity with new releases coming out at a great pace, I was wondering if there was a rough estimated time for file field to be eligible for Field Grouping.

I'm very well aware that the agenda is pretty full and by no mean would I complain or ask for rushing. I fully understand there might be other priorities in the pipeline.
Since I'm using Field Grouping already for a few item types on my client project, I am now trying to figure out the approach to take for file field.

Thus wondering if it's coming soon or not.

Thank you in advance.

for it's not possible because field file isn't multivalue field (not same system of other field) i think we need time to find a good way for this ... no date sorry

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hi micker,

thank you for the explanation and honest answer. Although not was I was hoping for :( but I prefer to hear the truth than some vague and not possible ETA.

I have to figure this out another way. My layout require sets of 2 values. One being a title/sentence and the second a button to download a file. And they get repeated in section multiple times in a page. But not in equal numbers between section. So the Field Grouping feature was a dream come true. Huummmm.

Thanks and Cheers.

Hello

in v3.0.5
fieldgroup has a compact mode (editing in item form) to save space
it is disabled by default
you may want to try it, and provide some feedback
