[SOLVED] Image field warning inside item form: "some values of this field have been skipped", happening for items imported via CSV

Previously our image fields and file upload worked fine. I have updated Flexicontent to the latest version (flexicontent-cck-3.0.8) and now we get the message "some values of this field have been skipped" "because the original file seems to have been deleted (thumbnailing of it has failed)"
This is happening on the one field that use the Item and Field Specific folder source as well as other fields that use Reusable DB mode.
I have done everything within this post : www.flexicontent.org/forum/21-troublesho...ge-field-errors.html
and checked the error log in cpanel
What else can I check or do to resolve this error ?

Hello

the thumbnail code check if file exists on the disk

the question is:
does it show the images of the item
and e.g. 1 is skipped, or ALL images are skipped ?

Hello

then it means that the image -folder- path is wrong for some reason

here is what to do
- create a new item and add an image

what is the path of it ?
is it the same as the path of your existing images ?

my item with the "M" image uploaded
reggaefusion-foundation.org/index.php?op...mary-test&Itemid=912

the image "M"
reggaefusion-foundation.org/images/stori...inal/alpha-cat_m.gif

I selected the "coming soon image" from the drop down as __no-foto-12.gif
and the image location of that image is now
reggaefusion-foundation.org/images/stori...ld28__no-foto-12.gif

Exsisting/previous uploaded item:
reggaefusion-foundation.org/index.php?op...:assassin&Itemid=164
show the main image (Item and Field Specific) source as
reggaefusion-foundation.org/images/stori...riginal/Assassin.gif
and the first "related" image (Reusable DB)
reggaefusion-foundation.org/images/stori...ld24_assassin1-1.gif

I have the path in flexicontent set to images/stories

Hello

i meant for you to give only 2 paths:

- what is the path of your existing image
- what is the path of the images added by the new item

so the path of the items is:
new item:
images/stories/item_6425_field_15/original/alpha-cat_m.gif
old item:
images/stories/item_4466_field_15/original/Assassin.gif

the look to be of same configuration

1. So the new item does it save and show the images ?
2. any old item (that you have NOT re-saved) if you view it in frontend does it show the images too ?

In short the images of existing item, show in frontend,
but if you edit you get message that they do not exist or they were skipped ?
- but it works for new items without warnings ?

The old items show fine, new items if entered by hand are fine. The problem happens because we upload all items with csv file upload method.
This is where we get the error. When we upload the csv file it says the image is there when we do the "prepare import", but when we review in the frontend there is no image and the backend gives the error message (the images are in the images/stories folder and the csv file only includes the name of the image)

Ok so it happens when
1. uploading image via CSV
2 . image field is in "folder" mode

now this is better information,

- it looks like the images are not copied to the correct folder
can you look inside folder of an item created via CSV import:

images/stories/item_NNNN_field_15/original/

are the images there ?
