Hi

I am new to FLEXIcontent and trying some of the features.

I have added a DB Image field and linked it to an item.

When I try to upload an image to the Item I get the following error messages.

Message
TypeImage : Upload complete
Item saved

Notice
Image/Gallery field: 'TypeImage', some values of this field have been skipped: [ 47ms5l-6.jpg ], because the original file seems to have been deleted (thumbnailing of it has failed).
This message will go away once you save this content item

This is followed by failed messages................................

Failed2:

phpThumb() v1.7.11-201108081537
phpthumb.sourceforge.net

"" does not exist ..................

I have tried all different combinations of the Image field parameters.

I have searched the forum and FAQ's but can not find a solution....

Am I missing the obvious ?

Thanks

if you delet original file (uploaded) you will have this message
we bring it to recreate thumbs if you change value after upload

Hello

the image files can not uploaded properly

either because

- the target path you have set (parameter in field configuration) cannot be created due permissions / ownership
- the target path is not writable due permissions / ownership
- the tmp folder path of your website is wrong or is not writable (check if path is set correctly Joomla global configuration and then check folder permissions/ownership)

what to try/check
-- go to field configuration
a. and check what is the mode of the image field it is folder mode or DB mode ?
b. if in folder mode:check your thumbnail directory is writable
c. if in DB mode: check the above but also most important check permissions/ownership of the SECURE folder (set in FLEXIcontent component configuration)

Hi

Have checked all of above, the folders have 755 permissions.

I have found the following article on the FLEXIcontent site relating to file paths:

www.flexicontent.org/component/flexicont...moved.html?Itemid=28

The article states:

NOTE: If you are testing your site via a joomla folder under ~username then note that on the fly phpThumb images will not work, but as soon as you access your site normally then they will work.

I am using testing server space which is not attached to a domain and so uses the '~username' name protocol in the URL address, could this be the cause of the problem ?

Is there a work around I can add using a static route that incorporates a '~username' ?

Thanks

Hello

and thanks for the feedback
