"Box" size, background colour

New guy here!

As you can see I have a bit of consistency problem with the look of the boxes below the main article.
The background colour differs from the main page background, and the size of the "boxes" differ. Where do I adjust these settings?
A pointer in the right direction would be appreciated, I haven't found the right place yet - it's all a bit overwhelming atm.

you need to check it with webconsole or firebug to find css code
after you need to add your style in custom.css or flexicontent.css (see faq for this)

I tried setting

.t3-module module {
background-color = red;
}

in the file /var/www/html/templates/TEMPLATENAME/css/flexicontent.css

Then reloaded the page, but no change. I must be missing something.

(set it red just to test that it was the correct place)

no you need to found good css part

You might very well be right - was a very long time ago I had much to do with CSS... :blush:

v3.0.9 removes background color by default,

this is done in news template and in carousel template

in carousel we also do:

made borderless
with inner navigation
better image scaling
and more "walk" (=next/previous transitions) effects
a fix regarding height recalculation on browser window resize
some other minor updates
