Hi everybody,
I have for an image a field "my_image". I use "Joomla media manager" to manage the field (marked as experimental, that's maybe why my question, maybe not...).
In the universal module, i did this for the image :
Tab "Field select"
Field html as image : empty
field url as image : empty
image default : none
Standard
Use the image : yes, resize
link on image : yes
treatment : whatever
width : 80
height : 80

This should work... but with this, i have nothing.
If i use any other size of image (thumbnail), i have a huge image...
i purge the cache to be sure, but without success...

Do i make something wrong or did i miss something ?
Thanks :)

Hello

ok, but it is not the first time that you post ... it is good to mention Joomla and FLEXIcontent versions and also not bad to mention PHP and MySql version

you see the "Joomla media manager" mode of image field was fixed in v3.0.14-rcNN

Hello

as this is new feature, it may have some issue with module
- i have tested it with item / category view

please test if it works in item view, then we will talk about module

Hi again Georges,
Found it.
I use AdminTools to secure my site. AdminTools allow to generate a htaccess file to protect files and folder.
If i remove the htaccess files, it works but the images are NOT resized anyway.

Nicholas from Akeeba (Admin Tools) told to another person with the same issue "Phpthumb is unsecure and you should avoid it..." as the only way is to deactivate the protection against file injection.
I am sitting "between 2 chairs"...
You can see Nicholas 's post here : www.akeebabackup.com/support/admin-tools...tion-attacksoff.html
Any idea for this ?

Hello

that was true for older versions of phpThumb
as you can see that was at start of 2012,

- we have updated phpThumb version included with FC

Hello

if anyone is still using older version of FLEXIcontent 1.5.x or v2.0.? v2.1.? with vulnerable phpThumb version include then yes he is at risk

if you have not upgraded any older sites , then you should,

- about protecting high resolution images,
if you are have images that are worried of being stolen, then you should not disable htaccess protection in the image field
- you should configure you views and module to use "already created" thumbnails (already created by image field)

Thanks Georges,
For now, i have deactivated the htaccess. I will have to see how to activate this and leaving the access to phpthumb (even with an exception, i can not get access to the image).
Without the htaccess, all is fine.
Note that i have found the problem for the big image ! If you put the image above or below the title/text, the image is always (fit or fit/stretch) put on the full width, that's why i had huge image :)
I have now to see how to configure the htaccess with AdminTools to leave my thumbs access on frontend.
Thanks again Georges :)
