Hello
I would like to know if it's possible to submit a form (with menu item "content item submission form") in frontend, without asking the category, because it's already defined in backend.
Regards
Laurent

yes you can by 2 ways :
-flexicontent ACL
- menu option to submit

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

- Syntax "_skip_" in the submit form (core field property of display form) : ...But category field allways displaying !

with ACL => field is disable
if you want to hide it you can add css in form (type administration)

Hello

if you had via CSS make sure to add to the configuration of specific type
- there is a CSS parameter for frontend form

otherwise if you add to your template, then you will hide for ALL types ... which is probably not what you want
- or you may use a CSS rule that use the PAGE CLASS configured in the menu item

The category override was a little confusing because of compatibilty with past version
I have made it simpler (WITH option to hide main category too)

Hello

there is no "english" version,

this is our current development version (not released)

maybe i did not explain it well,

I have made it simpler (WITH option to hide main category too)

i meant to say this was added / implemented yesterday
- we wanted to do this before ,
but so far we asked users to use CSS to hide it, but with some effort it was added without breaking anything

This is the development branch of "3.0.x-stable"
github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexicontent-cck/tree/3.0.x-stable

click "download ZIP" and then install via Joomla extension manager, in a TESTING website
test and provide feedback

Thank you for this add, it is very usefull !
Is there a way to hide the main and secondary categories in the item edit form too ? (By selecting "edit item" in a list, the categories are showed even if they are already defined in backend)

Hello

- no , but you can prevent users from changing them

go to component permissions
and DENY the "change" category assignments permissions for the usergroup
