dear flexicontent-team,

in the latest flexicontent versions, the image field has the modal popup for selecting the image. is it possible to disable it? each image means an extra click and i would save some time when it s disabled.

tnx for feedback!

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.

Hello

there is no option for disabling the modal,

changing this will mean supporting it too and risk breaking things
plus there are now higher priorities

- Also joomla built-in selection and other extension do the same thing they use a modal

at least the modal is best implemented
- provides max space for browsing the images
- autosized on browser window resize
- locks scrolling of parent window properly
- works even for moving form built-in elements too ...

thanks for both feedback.

i can see the advantage from modal, but when uploading lots of pictures, it s a disadvantage.
just being curieus: in the older versions it worked without modal, what was the reason to add modal?

cheers

Hello

-1- need more space for browsing thumbnails,
(and in frontend the problem with space was even more worse)
-2- wanted to have a similar UI for image-gallery field in modes: "folder mode" and "DB-mode"
