[SET to 'db-mode'] Upgrading from old FC version, image source changed / broke after upgrade

I currently have problems with the field type “image”. The images are not displayed in the article in backend and frontend . In backend appears the message:
“Image/Gallery field: 'Beitragsbild', some values of this field have been skipped: [ kinderfastnacht_2015_dsc_1098.jpg ], because the original file seems to have been deleted (thumbnailing of it has failed)”. This message will go away once you save this content item"
The problem occurs after migrating a site from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 3, and FLEXIcontent upgrade to version 3 ( currently 3.0.14-rc2a) . In the field configuration the image source is set to "Item + Field Specific Folder " .
The images are currently stored in folder " / images / stories / xxxx " . In the new version the images are stored in folder " / images / stories / xxxxx / item_xxx_field_xx " . It affects about 100 items . Is there a way to fix the problem? Does somebody has any idea?

it sounds like your field was in "DB-mode"

v3.0 has "folder-mode" as default value

- change PARAMETER "Image Source" to "DB-mode"

and open an item that you have not saved, do the images appear ?

change the Parameter settings to DB Mode fix the problem. All images appear in front- and backend. Thank you so much.
