featured vs. standard in template

Hi,
I have a list of 8 items in a category.
I set one of them as 'featured'
I create a module that display 7 items and one of them a 'featured'
I don't understand why the item defined as 'featured' is not the one who was put in the 'featured' list!

first, i am sorry for the confusing terminology (it comes from the J1.5 time, so it is old terminology, )
- FEATURED flag in items is not the same as ... the "featured" items in module

But please read the description at the FIRST TAB of the module
it says that the out of e.g. 10 items the first 4 items will be displayed differently , aka as "featured"
- so they have e.g. bigger picture or longer text or more fields

To list items MARKED with FEATURED Flag
- go to TAB "Select items"
- find Scope:

also if needed, you can create 2 modules,
1 module to list FEATURED FLAGGED items

and 1 module for items for items that do no have the FEATURED FLAGGED, just set the filtering scope to "EXCLUDE"

also in both items you can set featured items to ZERO , and thus use only the parameters of "standard display"
