filter by date range / "today and future"?

[question]
On a cat-page with items that have a custom date-field X, can we set (locked) filters to show only items who's date-field X has a future-date incl. today?

Your tooltip for initial and locked filters says: "[...] Ranges: field_id##value1---value2".
Might this be the right approach? And if so, how should I format today's date resp. tomorrow's date?

value for dates should look like:

YYYY-mm-dd (year-moth-day)
e.g.
2016-03-17

"today / now" is not implement, it should be easy
and i agree that it is useful for site with date fields

you may open an issue here:
github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexicontent-cck

i will mark it as enhancement and give it a milestone (short-term (a month / a week))
- but you cannot use this feature now !
