what depended dislay ?
you want to display someting if you have value in other field ?
you need to code it in an item template

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Here is an example:

You have an image in the item. The cusotmer want to decide if this image is show in a tumbernail mode with popup OR as a medium size image.
He does it by using another field ...
How do you do it?

you can't allow this in form editing flexicontent can't do this
but you can create 3 image field with each configuration
if user insert image on 1 field flexicontent display only this one

I could also define 3 item types - NO!
BUT that can make end user life more complex....
Let solve my need in a diffrent way.
I have in an item-view another item (id) - is it possible to get its fields values by running somthing like this:
flexcontent::getItem( $itemId);

and, micker, thanks for your patience...

no need to define 3 item type
create 3 image field for one type if a field is empty it's not display
for code preset you can read faq for item all is in
