Hello

you can create multiple submit menu items
even if they are hidden,
- you can select to be used (their configuration) for the add button displayed in category views

In component configuration you can set a default submit menu item for the ADD button
then you can override the above in every category

of course you may make these menu items visible inside some non-hidden menu

Hello

i meant that the parameter to hide them for new items
is in there

plus without at least 1 submit menu item your configuration is incomplete, some important stuff is in there

Hello

go to Joomla menu manager in backend
- then click to create a new menu item
and find it inside the menu types of "FLEXIcontent"

Hello

i looked at it , yes indeed the code will show a locked empty selector
it is not a bug , it was done deliberately to show that user cannot have access to it

the term "hide" in parameter is misleading
will revise it and examine if this behaviour should be changed
now you can use CSS to hide it

note regardless of CSS to hide the selector,
the ACL is still needed, because if you did not use ACL and you just hide it, then someone can manually add it into the form and submit the form
