No results on search page

Hi,

I have a FLEXIcontent search module that brings me to a results page tied to a menu item ID that is a FLEXIcontent search menu item. Everything works fine until I try a new search on the results page (not using the module form but the page form), I get no results.

Joomla 3.6.5
FLEXIContent: 3.1.1

I'm clueless.

I have created a new menu item FLEXIContent search, did not change anything in the settings. When I go the that page and I type in the search box, it auto-completes. I then select and Go and I get the following:

Aucun résultat n'a été trouvé.

(flexicontent version and joomla version ?)

- if you search for the same word as you searched in the search module does it show results
i say the above,
because the auto-complete may suggest words that are from items that current view (search menu item) will not allow them

e.g. current search menu item limits to specific content type

- also if you search for the same word as you searched in the search module does the url change ?
if yes then paste the different part(s) of the URL here

Search Areas (non-FC Content) -> Use areas -> Enable

It now works. Maybe it should work with the default settings, it would be less confusing.

When I accessed the page directly, without the module, it did not work either. If I did a search it brings me this URL:

/recherche?q=text&areas[]=flexicontent&cc=p

with no results. If I strip the URL to this:

/recherche?q=jeunes

it works. That's how I knew that the area setting was not right.

the search result that you want to display is a FLEXIcontent item or page of some other component
e.g. a category or a contact page or some other page ?

Only for FC items, all other search plugins are disabled.
