Prevent access to original images not working

Hi

I have a custom Image field using 1 folder per item setting , When I want to display the field it doesn't display ,

As I check the folder I can see a .htaccess file in each item's image folder , When I delete the file and refresh , the .htaccess is created and of course I see a 403 error on the image.

I set the "Prevent access to original images" to no in the field , but it doesn't seem to work.

Any help would be appreciated

it's inside original folder. and when we remove it, after a refresh, it is automatically recreated.

it sounds like 2 different issues

question how do you display the image field ?
- which image JS gallery did you select ?
- which thubmnail size did you select ? e.g. medium , large , other ?

- I selected Image or galley ---> I used image.
- I chose Medium size.

your images folder
/images/

had permissons : 700

but it should have permissions 755 (read and change-dir for all)
changing permissions of the fixed the issue
