Ratings for category pages?

Hi!

Is it possible to add ratings for categories?

Also I believe, that we should have ability to assign extra fields to categories too, not only for items.

and DB tables

have a "record type"
(it was added for this purpose exactly)

thus the can support categories too
when / if rating field is assigned to categories too

now it is not implemented

I 2 days tried to find any 3rd party extension for this - no results.
May be we can find temporary solution - to add ratings on category pages?

Hello! I'm very interested in this option too.This is a very useful feature for Google (microdata) and for users.For example, we have a small category with objects. Users should be able to set their rating for this page.

there may not be much active in github last days
but there is some intensive work to rework or MVC to use common base classes to reduce the maintenance work in the future

ratings and reviews are now the same thing for us as they are submitted together

Also the design is to allow these in categories too and in other "non Joomla article types" in the near future

but this (rating for categories) will come not in 3.3.0 version 
the feature to allow this for categories will be in some 3.3.x version

I want to notice, that there is no ANY rating plugins for Joomla, which can be used on any page, included category.
All Joomla rating plugins works only in item pages.
So, we have no choice.
Waiting for this option!
