Yes, you are right. No found URLs does not detected.
And not present in logs file.

But the main thing - to not broke links to pages (not to files).

Explain.
Now if we have direct URL to file - FC downloads file (Good).
If we have url to page, for example play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co...afting.building.lite
FC opens this page. And it's good too.
Only one issue - FC opens such pages in same window (not used target ="_blank")
It's not problem, but it's not perfect.

Hello

FC opens such pages in same window (not used target ="_blank")
It's not problem, but it's not perfect.

Solution 1
- we could open all file URLs in new window (new configuration option)
when the file is a real filename then all modern browsers should autoclose the new window

Solution 2 (decide per URL)
- if URL has ZERO file size in DB then make it open in new window

If in

all modern browsers should autoclose the new window

so, Solution 1 will be more attractive.

But, may be it should be a setting for a field?
Not sure... But FC have millions settings, so one more setting will make it more flexi :)
It's joke, Solution 1 or 2 will be enough for this fixing issue.

Hello

i have added both

-- check for bad URLs

that means HTTP status codes
< 200 or >= 400, e.g. 404 not found, e.g. 403 no access

-- and open URLs with zero file size in new window

I have tested it in your web-site too

Hello

it was added for 2 display cases in the code
i am not sure if you are using these

maybe it would be best to create a diffent field for cases that the file is a link to a page

maybe create a webink field ?
and add value to weblink field and leave the file field empty ?

Hello.

An additional field will complicate the addition of items.

See, how I use it:

And how it looks:

So, I just need second link opens in new tab.

But you wrote that

all modern browsers should autoclose the new window

So, it's no matter. All links can be opened in new tab.
