We are using huge gallery, and it is not working anymore since we update the flexicontent

The problem is in the new flexiconten all the files need to be uploaded using ajax, but in our hugegallery files are uploaded using normal file field

so I want to know if there is any documentation that I can follow and convert my file filed to ajax uploader provided by the flexicontent media manager

Hello

In backend you can use the button "Apply and reload"
- it will submit the form normally

and in frontend you can disable the "Apply" (Ajax) button thus only the "Apply and reload" will be shown

we want to give this option to the client so they can submit with Ajax, if you can give some document how we can implement flexicontent media uploaded in our plugin that will be great

Hello

actually we did move the AJAX uploader into a reusable
JHtml method because the ajax uploader code is now used in several places
Code:
$uploader_html = JHtml::_('fcuploader.getUploader', $field, $u_item_id, null, $n, ...);

but using it is not trivial,
(you can see the code inside our image-gallery field)
plugins/flexicontent_fields/image/image.php

you could sponsor (everybody else will get this work from free) the conversion of huge gallery to use the new uploader
or the deprecation of huge-gallery into image-gallery field

Hi ggppdk,

I sent you a PM about this issue.

The website where it originated from:
extensions.netassopro.com/

doesn't seem to be in business anymore.

Thanks,

Robert

Hi Micker,

I understand. However, the issue for me is I have been using huge gallery for probably the last 5 years and so have many clients and probably over a 1500+ pages using hugegallery across multiple sites. So - we don't want to go the image route and have to re-enter all the pages.

So - for us being unable to support it now isn't really an option. My usual php programmer who started the thread - I was hoping could update it - but he doesn't understand the new plugin parameters. He was able to get our content plugin updated.

I sent ggppdk - a PM to see about sponsorship.

Hello

already added in v3.2.x-stable branch (and in master branch), option for custom layouts
for image-gallery field
- custom parameters via custom XML file
- custom display via custom PHP layout file

and all existing image gallery JS were moved to using the above

as 1st option will look to deprecate huge gallery field (and also deprecate mini-gallery field) and
... support loading its values in item form and also when viewing

as 2nd option we could update the huge gallery field

I think 2nd option update would be best.

As I realized that every Joomla site I have built uses it. Plus some sites have taken advantage of the title, description + alt fields - which we would have to match.

Plus the .zip works well if you've got lots of images.
