Hi,

I have a content type, which represents an event.
There I have two date fields, which represent the start and the end of the event: from and until
Now I want to give the user the possibility to find events by date.
This means it schould be possible to enter a date in the search mask and the results are all items where from date is smaller (or equal) and until-date is bigger (or equal) than the search date.

Is it possible to realize that?

Best regards
Matthias

yes
1 create your date field
2 allow filtering
3 in filter tab you can set your filter behavior (select, range datesearch)
3 display filter in your category view

Thanks, but I don't think, that is the solution.
As I wrote, I have two separate date fields: from and until.
A user should enter a date in the search mask and it should be filtered, if the date is between the two date fields
Example:
event is from 2019-07-14 (stored in field from) until 2019-08-01 (stored in 2nd field until).
If the user enters 2019-07-23, the item should be found. If he enters 2019-08-07 not.

Sorry, but I don't understand how that should work with one field, if I have to store two dates: start- and enddate of an event.
Could you give me a hint, how to configure that?
Is ist possible to store a range in one date field?
