Tags keeps searching in backend was created by marc.light
Hi,

When I add or edit an item, tags suggestions are not working, the little icon keeps on turning. Tags were all added in FlexiContent and not the Joomla tags component.

Can someone please help?

Joomla 3.9.16
FlexiContent 3.3.2
PHP 7.3

1 in front or backend ?
2 if its in frot check your console browser and report error

you need to check some plugin conflict or other thing

open in browser tools via F12

can you check for errors in console Tab and in network Tab ?

Nothing in the console, network has 3 CSS frequest all 200 OK.

here is what is happening

Item form is loading the frontend URL via AJAX

https://_web_server_/components/com_flexicontent/tasks/core.php

and access to it is blocked, it gets redirected to home page

i did not check your server configuration in details

but i have made add backend file to avoid loading the frontend PHP file via URL
do you want to test it ?

Found a solution ! I have Akeeba Admin Tools installed and it creates a complicated .htaccess.

If others have the same problem, go in Components -> Admin Tools -> .htaccess Maker

Under "Allow direct access, including .php files, to these directories", add "components/com_flexicontent/tasks".
