Hello

yes the description text of file field is "filtered" as string
- meaning we filter out any HTML inside of it aka we filter any HTML
so if you add a link like <a>Some text</a>
then only this will be saved into the database
Some text

we only allow line breaks which we replace with newlines before filtering out HTML

Hello

This was never allowed,
techincally it is possible to be changed, to use the same filtering as Joomla text filters (= filtering according to editor's usergroups)
but then people will start asking for features that exist in the textarea ...

You do not need to use the description property of the file field
Just create a fieldgroup
Then add to it
- add a file field
- and a textarea field or a weblink field

Thank you very much for your test. I tested it and it was a problem with helix template. It took over my menu and caused fc to fail to call normally, but I don't know how to fix this problem. For the time being, I can only disable this theme from the system when adding the fc menu, and then enable it after adding it. Fortunately, I only need to add it once most of the time.

In terms of ease of use and compatibility, astroid is indeed better.
