Hi again!

I have a select dropdown "Gadget" with several options:

Code:

<option>laptop</option>
<option>phone</option>
<option>tablet</option>
<option>television</option>
<option>etc</option>

I have another text field "Gadget Type". I would like this "Gadget Type" field to automatically be filled up based on the selection of the "Gadget" select field.

Say if a user selects 'laptop' in Gadget field, then Gadget Type field auto-fills "1", if a user selects 'phone', then Gadget Type field is auto-filled with "2", etc.

is this possible?

yes you can purchase the flexicontent Pro plugin
then you can use custom code in the 2nd field to generate a custom value during item form saving
