yes no realy recommended ... you lose many thing ...
you can set an type can be write via joomla or flexicontent
for category you need to check router plugin

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

not sure i understand, can you be more accurate ? What i have to do on content type and where and same thing for the router ( you mean plugin ?)

Hello on type administration you Can choose if type is redirected to flexicontent or joomla view
And in item form tab you Can choose if this type use flexicontent or joomla form
... Whats IS the goal ?
