Hi there,

how can I build a category-view with custom-date-field-scope resp. complex ordering?

[details]
I want to show my content items (say 'concerts') ordered in this complex away:

- start the page with future concerts (soon to far future)
- then render past concerts (recent to far past)

[example]
- 01.04.2023
- 31.12.2024
- 01.01.2023
- 24.12.2010
...

---

Now, I see that the FC-universal-module can filter content with the help of sql-statement "curdate()", and I managed to show only my future items.
Can my category-view do that, too somewhere? At least I don't see the option.
Also, I'd prefer to solve my problem without modules, because I need pagination for long lists, too, and I don't see how FC-universal-modules can do that.

Looking forward to your kind input, thanks already! :)

yes you can, 2 ways :
- in category filter tab
- in menu to category in filter tab

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

wow, support in 7 minutes, awesome!
Allow my followup-question:
Where do I make my field "range-filter"able?

(And: since joomla 4, all those backend-help-popups (see your screenshot) are gone; i don't have javascript-errors, so i think, all the neede scripts are there?)

Think I found it: Had success with

Backend > my field > FIELD TYPE specific configuration > filtering > advanced search view >  Form field >
- set " Filter Grouping " to "day" (don't know why, but with "day" it works)
- set " Display Filter as " to "Date picker (range)" (does not affect the display, but it works, so I'm happy).
