In love with Flexicontent!

I wanted to know if it is possible to change the layout by the pages generated from the tags. For instance, www.feastguru.com/mumbai/chinese ... ivery.html page is in tabular format.

I would like to know how to configure this in a blog layout. Thanks

Cheers!

.
Currently there are no templates for the Tags view or Favorites view.
FLEXIcontent uses the MVC structure you can use layout overrides to create your own layouts.

Layout overrides links:

Hi Ken,

I was wondering if you could help me by guiding me how to remove the H1 tag on the pages generated by tags.

For instance on www.feastguru.com/mumbai/feastgu ... urant.html , the H1 Heading is "Midnight Buffets" whereas the tag page is "Chinese Restaurants".

Request your help please as this could cause some serious search engine penalties.

Thanks

"serious search engine penalties" . . . please . . .

Options:

1. Change the page title on the Menu Item.
Then you can have the H1 text be whatever you want.

2. Turn-off the page title display on the Menu Item.
Then there will be no component heading H1 text.

3. Change the H2 to H1 in the Tags view default layout file.
joomla_root\components\com_flexicontent\views\tags\tmpl\default.php
Lines 36-38 - change 2 characters.

4. Use a layout override of this Tags view.
See 3 documentation links above.

Hi Ken,

Thanks. Option 2 is the easiest amongst these. One more help. The page title is picking up the menu name. Would it be possible to have the title with the same value as the tag? If yes, how does one do it?

Regards
Kirti

See Option #1 above.
Go look at the Menu Item parameters settings.

Hi Ken,

Thanks. Option 1 won't work as it will generate multiple duplicate page titles for both pages generated for a category and for pages generated from tags.

For example - If I take a category "Restaurant" - and create a menu "Restaurants" then all the pages for that menu and category will have a page title "Restaurants". Unfortunately, all the tags generated pages will also have the page title "Restaurants".

So, a tag "Expensive" will have the page title "Restaurants". The items under this tag may not be restaurants either.

Thanks.

Cheers!
