Hi,

is there a solution for a menu module that automatically shows links to categories and subcategories? This would be helpful for directories. It is really time consuming to manually create the menu links.

Thanks. It is nearly working. Unfortunately, the subcategories are always visible in the menu and menu class suffix definition is not possible.

Anyway, I realized that there are a lot of extensions in the forum that are actually not in the FlexiContent download section (e.g. German translation of the latest version). I would be good, if someone could collect all the extensions and actually would take care about the download section. Just an idea... ;-)

.
Yes, the downloads area is out of date and incomplete.
There has been some discussion here in the forum about expanding it.
But those who have the access to make the changes/updates have not been around much lately.
Sooo . . . it is a bit frustrating.

Regarding the categories menu module:
It may be possible to modify one of the existing categories modules.
The problem you run into is the nested categories.
A simple category/article module would probably work with minimal modification.

If it is only that someone or a group of people have to gather the information and update the download section I would be willing to work on that. I am not a component programmer, but I am using Joomla since Mambo times and are a very experienced user.

Anyway, such a menu module would be great if not essential (e.g. for blogs or directories).
