Site search not working was created by Anonymous
hey all,
i've read www.flexicontent.org/forum/index.php?f=29&t=667&rb_v=viewtopic and still having issues.

so while searching for content, the results come up with url for com_content component.

i have no menus linked to com_content articles published or unpublished, i've erased all sections/categories/articles from com_content, and created content from FLEXI only, also checked the DB table jos_content to make sure there is no doubled content.

I've noticed the WEIRDEST thing nobody mentioned before(assuming i have article named "TESTING"):
while searching the string 'TEST' or 'TES'(not full title), i'll get result for
SEF off - http://localhost/anlg/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=9:demo&catid=20:movies
SEF on - http://localhost/anlg/component/content/article/20-movies/9-demo

BUT! while searching for the string 'TESTING', i'll get 2 results:

1.SEF off - http://localhost/anlg/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=9:demo&catid=20:movies
SEF on - http://localhost/anlg/component/content/article/20-movies/9-demo

2.SEF off - http://localhost/anlg/index.php?option=com_flexicontent&view=items&cid=20:movies&id=9:demo&Itemid=10
SEF on - http://localhost/anlg/movies/item/9-demo

could anyone help me figure this out?

.
Have you disabled the core search plug-in?
The FLEXIcontent search plug-in is meant to replace the Joomla core search plug-in.

In Joomla Plugin Manager use the - Select Type - drop-down to select search plug-ins only.
You should see approx. 7 search plug-ins.

Disable the Search - Content plug-in.

The Search - FLEXIcontent plug-in will handle the content search.

ok, previously when turned core search plugin down, i had 0 search results.

now, after cleaning the com_content related stuff, turned the core search plug off and i get correct results from FLEXIsearch, but only if i input the whole title.

so if i have item "TESTING", search for "TEST" show 0 results.

i've installed the flexicontent component on fresh joomla site, and i can't get the search to work!

the core search finds the articles i make with flexi, but routes it through com_content, so with SEF on i get 404.

when i turn it off, i get 0 results.

i have 1 section named FLEXIcontent, 2 categories in that section, some items, but the flexisearch won't see them! only core search.

i can't figure out how to make flexisearch work.

try to created a menu ling to any tag on flexicontent and don't published

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
