i am having the same issue and also turned off all scripts and still same issue. use a different browser isn't a very professional answer. obviously we don't use ie7. however we force ie7 mode to get rid of many ie8 issues. we still dont use ie however we have many frontend contributors that do.

Problems between IE and FLEXIcontent 1.5.3c JavaScript is a known issue, or issues.
Unfortunately the only work-around at this time is to use a different browser.

No need to keep turning-off other scripts, etc. - that is not the problem.
