1.5.4: seo question + debug mode was created by weCombine

hi all,

at first thanks for the new version.
i did an upgrade which was very smooth.

now, i have some question about the canonical url:
i added the advanced route feature in the template, but still cannot see how duplicate content can be avoided.
does it only with together with an seo-component? or also with the joomla core seo?

also, i tried to switch on the debug mode, but then a 500-error appears: 500 - JDatabaseMySQL::query: 1065 - Query was empty SQL=
can this be fixed too?
