Problem with forms for unauthorized users

Hello,

I use joomla 1.5... and flexicontent 1.5.6 r1336

And when I would like to submit form like unauthorized user appears page with error! That I do not have rights to do it.

But in menu Item I have set option
Allow unauthorized users : Yes

Please tell me if it is a bug? Or maybe I did something wrong?

Is setting in the menu "Yes" or is is it "Yes, exclude guests" ?

Try re-saving and renaming the Joomla menu item to make sure you are not editing wrong menu item

The option chosen is 'Yes' not 'Yes, exclude guests'.

I have resaved the menu item, but still it is the same problem:

403 - Your account is not authorized to perform this task. Please use a more privileged account.
If you should have access to this content, then contact the website administrator.

right now I have other problem with submit forms.

When I put data into forms and try to submit, there is no action the page stays in the same place.

It only indicates which fields are required and nothing else.

After further testing I have found a problem that when custom fields are set to required it does not send data even if those fields are correctly fullfiled.

The option is still set to
Allow unauthorized users: Yes

Do you see any javascript errors in the form?

In order to test this we need a live example, to view the form, if you do not have we ll need to wait till you upload to an online server

In fact there are no javascript errors.

The form just does not do enything after clicking on button add.

It is in case when I am not logged in and you have fields that are required.

In the other case when there are no fields required, I am able to submit content of the form. But I am redirected to the page with the error that I do not have access to this page.

For the moment I do not have online example.

The after error submitting a new item is normal because user is unlogged and do not have permission to edit or view if item is not auto-published, the new item.

This error is confusing to the user so we made changes to this recently, and instead set an informative message, a download with this change is not yet available will be soon.

About issue with required fields and unlogged user, we ll check ...

- proper submit if form has required fields

- check URL redirection after submit, since the user not have permission to view item if item is not auto-published (i think this has already been done in recent revisions)

- guest user do not have user-id, so we should use as created_by value the user-id of e.g admin, (this has already been done)
