Search bugging ? was created by Chabi01
Hi,
I'm working on a website (J2.5.11 - FC2.0.2-R1680).

As i tried to make the advanced search working without success, i came back to the standart search in my main category. (bad indexation, filters empty, etc..)

The problem is simple : when i filter the list, nothing is filtered...
To be sure, i purge the cache, etc..
I deactivated the sef too...with no results..
You can see the problem here :
reparacteur.xlformation.com/inde ... Itemid=151
It's in development but it should work for this part...

Is this a bug or do i made something wrong (or did i forgot something ?).

If somebody have a clue...
Thanks :)

hello
1 did you actived advenced search for each field
2 did you build all index ?

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Any clue ?

The strange thing is i have the number of elements indicated in lists : the bug is only when i want to filter..
I have allready try with advanced filtered activated and deactivated (and the classic search too, all combination of both plugins, without classic content search plugin)...
I don't understand : i use an old version of FC on another website and it works..
Is there some bug of changes in the use of search filters ??

Thanks for the help.
Regards

Maybe something here.
When i activate the filter in the global configuration, i can see filters call by FC above the categories.
And these one works.
BUT ;)
I want to style and call by myself the filters.
So i used
Code:
<?php echo $this->filters['name_of_my_field']->html; ?>
in my template.
Is there something different for calling filters in the new version ?
How can my code my own way to present my filters ?
Regards.

Yes this is the code ,

but the updated templates have parameters to add HTML
to the display of filters : prefix , suffix, separator and start of list, end of list ,

plus you can use CSS to style them, if these are not enough then of course you can customize your view by editing template files

Hi Georges,
Thanks for your response : i use all that.
I solve the problem by myself : i used the "working" code and change it to fit my needs.
That's not completly done but you can see this here :
reparacteur.xlformation.com/index.php?op...r-les-r%C3%A9sultats
(The page are not entirely over : some little thing remains like I.E. browser fixes..)

If you watch the page, you can see on the top of the list "Cliquer ici pour filtrer les résultats" (click here to filter results) showing or hiding the filter view. Like this, visitors can decide to see or not the filters in the category view ;)

I also change some little things in the search module as the "advanced filters" doesn't work well for me : i change the code to deactivate it completly and i am adding some more code to have exactly what i need :)

I will come back here when all will be finished
