You can place your filters into columns of 200 pixels e.g. like this:

www.flexicontent.org/documentati ... lumns.html

but you said that you did what ? i mean what "working code", which file did you edit ? you editted the file:
listings_filter_form_body.php
?

Hello Georges,
Found strange behaviour in the search indexation.
In my different fields, i have a checkbox with different values. Let's say i have a value called "redcolor" and another one "bluecolor".
After indexation, i should have some items with the red value and some other with the blue value.
If i go to my category and filter to my "redcolor" value, i get the correct articles bind to the value.

But if i use the the search module for flexicontent and i type "redcolor" i have only 5 items shown (there is 10 in fact).
Also, if i go to the backend and check the value in the advanced index for "redcolor", i find 1 item only with the value checked ??

What do i miss here ?
Thanks for your lights !

Note : if you want to test by yourself, go to reparacteur.xlformation.com/
Then in the left column, you have abutton called "tout l'annuaire".
Click on hit to get all categories.
Click on the first one "Cycles - Vélos - Petit matériel de Motoculture".
When shown, click at the top of the list on "Cliquez ici pour filtrer les résultats" to get the filters.
At this point, you can filter with "Matériel pris en charge" and choose "Vélo" (the last value in the list).
You get 8 items with this value checked.

Ok. If now you go back to the left colum search module, you have the text field for free search. If you type directly "Vélo" here, you get 5 results...

Ouch !
There is a big issue here !
I go back to administration and check the advanced index : FC bind values to items that are not checked !
That's why i don't find item in the free search field : what can i do ??
I purge all, empty the cache, re-index, nothing change : items are bind the same way...
Thanks.

note for Georges : "...what did you change in the search.."
Today nothing : i switch all back to normal to exclude any coding problem from my own...
When all will be working, i'll see to re-integrate my own modification (only for showing filters, no change in the "working" change).

Hello,
you speak of searching with the search module,

1. text search is different than field filtering, a field maybe filterable so a text search will not yield the same results as filtering by the field

2. also there are 2 text-search indexes (basic and advanced) in menu item you select which index to use, if current menu item is not search menu item then the basic text search index is used

For the "binding" unchecked items i am not sure that i understand you.

until you resolve this, please use the standard joomla search with basic search plugin

Hi georges,
As i have to get a working solution today, i create 2 new fields to replace the dropdown fields.
As the new fields are "text", i can have now correct results.
Regards,

Hello,
no changes for v2.0.3 beta for advanced search

in near future, we will add a default search view configuration when current menu item is not search view menu item,
by allowing to select a menu item to use as "default"

in v2.0.2, if the currently selected menu item is not a search menu item then you cannot control the search view behaviour (parameters)
