Preview Not Working

Hello,
no data loss or settings loss

but
1. built-in templates are overridden (you should never edit the HTML for built-in templates, always duplicate them)

2. For using some new parameters you may have to use an updated template or the new parameter will be ignored

3. There are CSS updates to improve look of FLEXIcontent these might result in different look in your site

I upgraded it to the version you listed but the preview is still not working.

the frontend screen is blank due to some PHP fatal error,

e.g. it could be due to a 3rd party extension using the preview variable in the URL


1. please enable debugging in Joomla Global Configuration
2. then click to preview and do a "view page source" to see if the "white page" has some error message hidden inside some HTML tags

Ok, I went to Global Config - System and then to Debug System - Yes. then went to FlexiContent... went to item... picked out an article... Clicked Preview... and it's blank... and when I click on Source... when I went to Source - it's blank too... the link for that preview is: webworxapp.com/index.php?option= ... AIhdXilU7w

if it happens only with specific items then also include the frontend preview URL

I have disabled automatic frontend login while previewing, it causes problem with a 3rd party plugin you have installed.

- if you preview public content items then you do not need it anyway,
- if you preview non-public content items you will be asked to login once

which plugin/module is conflicting? Does the preview work now? and what are ramifications from your fix - just cant edit from front end or cant login to backend from front end?

In the future - so I know how to do it - where did you disable automatic frontend login while previewing? I just sent you a PM as we did a server swap from a rochen shared to a Rochen MVS... which I have done a bunch of times... and everything works this time but the screen goes to a white screen with no source code when we try to save the article.

under TAB "Backend Items manager" there is a parameter:
Enable preview auto-login

FYI - the thing in the PM is different than my request on how you fixed this preview not working... although same result - white screen - you already did the fix you mentioned above for the preview... I am sure you realized that but just thought I mentioned it. Let me know when you fix the other thing and what you did so I can notate it in case it happens again. Great speed on these responses - impressed.
