Unselectable categories

Hi there,

I have unselectable categories.

I can only see these categories via frontend. There are invisible in te backend.

How can i delete those categories?

If possible, how can i make them visible so that canove them to a proper category and mke it available for the frontend.

you mean they are shown in item edit form ? but they cannot be selected ?
if so the current user has privilege "view all categories" but he does not have "create" privilege in some of them

i cannot even see the categories via backend.

I can see the categories via front end(edit form) but I cannot select them in the edit form.

check your ACL rules for each categories

they are not listed in backend category manager ?

if they are not listed in backend category manager then please send me a PM with super admin login and give me an example of a category not listed (at least the full name of the category)

They are not listed in backend category manager. Yes thats correct.

I can see them in the item edit form but not in backend. please check your PM.

I have now created a new category.

I can see that category in the backend.

I cannot see it in the frontend. I checked the permissions. They look ok to me.. I am not really sure whats happening.

I also deleted categories. Cannot see them in the category section backend.

But I can see them(deleted categories) when I add a new category(Content/categories/add a new category)... Is this hosting related?

Because when I edit a css file, it doesnt update immediately. Need to wait a few minutes to see the changes.

Ok I managed to delete them they were unpublished for some reason...

Now when I create a new category that I created before. I cannot delete it .

I deleted all the items associated with that category. I tried deleting it. It is still giving me the same issue.

Did you clean trash ?
Use trash filterin your category list and item list
