Hi there,

I was just wondering if it is possible to add textare at the frontend submission form dynamically.

I know it can be done using the simple text field by simply pressing the add button. I was wondering if it is possible with the text area. thank you.

:) Textarea does not allow multiple fields, please request it as a feature :)

ps: I am positive about this but not sure.

I think this is must have... If I can add a multiple simple text box. I should be able to add a text area. The problem is to load the editor dynamically maybe?

Hello

Hello,

- One reason for not adding multi value capability was the HTML editor , but it should be possible using call:

WFEditor.create('elementid');

- Other reason was some extra setting textarea has that allows the content to be splitted into TABs

... but for it we can select not to support TABBED content (currently only experienced developers can use this) when the textarea is multi-valued,

-- In short a future version can add this (now, sorry it is not implemented), and yes it makes sense why this can be useful

Regards

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

It amazes me how this forum is useful even much better than some paid extension support...

Thank you.

Hello

the support time spent on this forum , does cost us

but our target to to increase the quality/robustness of the component and add features to clearly distinguish it from Joomla,

e.g. when Joomla adds content types we will list 100-200 FLEXIcontent content type can do more than Joomla's built-in content type

and soon release a commercial version with priority support and some nice extra features,

e.g. endless scroll

but free version, will always be feature-rich

When you say distinguish from joomla, you are talking about so called "content management" part of Joomla?

I think being able to create your own content type is awsome idea!

Do you know when joomla will include content types? joomla 4 maybe :D ?

Hello

Joomla already has a basic set of content types:
- Banners, Contacts, Newsfeeds and Weblinks,
and individual components add more "Content Types"

but custom Content types like the ones added by CCKs like FLEXIcontent are planned for Joomla 4 ?
