[closed] Preview in edit item

Sorry, one more for today ...
When i click on the preview button of an edit item, i've got a 404 error. (in french and english administration)

It's Ok in Items of the article manager.
What's wrong ?

1. trying loging in to frontend before clicking the preview, does it work ?


2. the problem maybe with the selected menu item in frontend or with current frontend language, check which menu item is activated, is it of public access ? try switching frontend language

From frontend, preview it's OK (with french interface)
But when i come back in backend it doesn't work (even i've got both site and administrator in english)

I switched site language in english, i deleted all my navigation history and cache ... but nothing.

And from article manager, preview is OK

i tested by clicking preview in backend item form and i could not replicate the issue

please send me a PM with detailed instructions on how to replicate the issue (/bug ??)


e.g.
also tell the item -ID- that you used to test
also login with the account that you sent me

Remember ! in our first posts, you said that i'm not a developper
Just the id 12 make a bug, i copy the item (id13) and it works ... (with your id or mine, let's see)
Very confused ...

Then with enthusiasm, i try the flexi pagebreak on the copy item but it doesn't work.

you cannot preview an item that has "page breaks" (pages) in it ?

If i put an flexicontent item as menu items, it makes a bug preview !

if your current language is e.g. French

1. if you try to activate a menu item with language ALL
--> then OK

2. if you try to activate a menu item with language English and it does not have an -associated- menu item of French language
--> then you get error 404

Also note if any --parent-- menu item is of wrong language and has not association then you will get Error 404 (=not found error)

E.g.
you have current language French:
www.mysite.com/menu-item11/menu- ... enu-item59

menu-item11 (language ALL -->ok)
menu-item45 (language English and no French association)
menu-item59 (language French -->ok)

the above will give error 404 because of menu item 45
