Hi

whenever a view displays flexcontent there is a movement to the right of one or two pixels. in sites or coexist normal views of joomla and flexi seen although the view flexi move and not that of joomla
This movement is very unpleasant and fatigue.
It's seems you have the same movement on this site.

Hello

that is JS code of function
Code:
function fc_recalculateWindow() { ... }

inside file:
components/com_flexicontent/assets/js/tmpl_common.js

- it recalculates the window width, making sure that no horizontal scroll bar appears for the window
this was needed by older versions of carousel template, (and custom copies of it)

i think we can remove it, as it seems no longer needed, try this, replace the function with:
Code:
function fc_recalculateWindow() { // reset popup overlay containers ... TODO add more ? jQuery('#OverlayContainer').css("height", jQuery('body').css('height')); }}

-- Then click CTRL-F5 or similar in your browser to force download of the updated JS file immediately

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.

Hi,
the reason of this question is that it seams i have always the same little movement on my site between flexi compoments and others joomla componants in my case jdownload and contact; jdownload and contact no movements between them; two flexi a category and direct to an item no movements but the first ones with the two others yes a movement ....i asked my self if it was not the same issue somewhere else ..

Hello

- we removed the JS code for the browser window wodth
other than the page above the page contents are different

the browser will just render the page contents,
according to CSS, also some HTML contents maybe added after page load finishes, and running the JS code of component, of template and of 3rd party extensions

my guess is that there is CSS difference between 2 pages,
- e.g. with 1 component the module positions have margin 1% and with the other component some CSS may make the page have 2% margin

Regards

Hello

in any case "movement" is browser rendering the HTML and executing JS code
and we are not talking of a bug, we are talking of improving something, if you can provide something more specific,
we always want to improve things can be improved without introducing bugs

i tested with Joomla protostar template i don't see any movement in v3.0.8
- i switch from FLEXIcontent category view <->Joomla category view

- about movement make sure that THE SAME modules with same or similar contents are display in both component views
