phpThumb error in category items

Hi, I am having an issue displaying item image in category items list, for example here: www.gkng.sk/index.php/blog

Instead of the image that should be displayed, I am seeing a phpThumb error. The broken path to image looks like this: www.gkng.sk/components/com_flexicontent/...360&h=360&aoe=1&q=95

The stranges thing is the images are displayed correctly on item detail page, such as this one: www.gkng.sk/index.php/blog/item/31-ako-z...-a-suvisiace-procesy

I've been experiencing the issue after I updated to Joomla 3.4.8, Flexicontent is still in 2.2.1 rc. I tried updating the Flexicontent to 3.0.8 (and also 3.0.9) locally, but the issue still occured.

@esinet, thanks for the reply, but non of the solutions worked for me. Anyways, I managed to find a workaround - placing the image custom field directly into the template, and hiding the broken image. I know this solution is not optimal, but I think I was just too tired of trying to find a solution for hours.

did you try to activad debug mode for phpthumbs ?

Hi, I have the same issue in my test site: phpThumb error in category items.
The problem was appeared when I update flexicontent 2 to 3.014 rc2a
I'm in 3.4.8 of Joomla

I have activated the debug mode but it doesn't help me...

I have find a solution, when I use a middle size instead of personal parameters : "use the parameters" I have no problem

please note abut phpThumb thumbnailing via URL,
- will not work if folders are protected via .htaccess
(this is normal ... because if a folder is protect via .htaccess, it means that the images should not be served ...)

you can use a pre-created thumbnail as you did, also doing this has a small / very small performance benefit too !
(or if your site has a lot of content, it may have a bigger benefit)
