About loading default import settings

well, right now I can only cancel the import and lose all the settings.
Maybe it's a feature, in my very humble opinion it's a bug [and I'm a developer too]

Hello

in my very humble opinion it's a bug [and I'm a developer too]

well it does what we parameters description in component configuration say,
they are loaded at the start of the import process
- and after import process finishes the defaults are loaded as described

for something to be called a bug it must behave differently than the intended behaviour
- if intended behaviour is not best choice that is a different thing, you can propose to change

ok, forget the word "bug", you're right and I'm not here to "offend" your work but just to be a help to improve this component.

In my screenshot [nevermind it's italian, it's the same] there's no "Reset and keep form settings" button.

Let's summarize the procedure as it is:

- I save my settings in the flexicontent's configuration
- I do my first import
- I must click "cancel the import" at the end of it, successfully or not. And there's no other button like my screenshot show. [Reset and keep form settings ??]
- I lose all my settings and the "factory" ones are loaded again
- I need to logout and login again to make another import with my settings or I have to set them all again

I think there's something wrong in this functioning.
Usually in any software the user saved configuration replace all the "factory" values. Period.
Anyway I'm not here to annoy anyone, if you guys believe it's the best solution it's ok.

Thank you for your patience

Hello

please the form will not load factory defaults after clearing last import data
- it will load the user-configured defaults that are set in the component configuration

but
- there are a few form fields that are not included in the component parameters:
type, category, etc
- and i can understand the usefulness of allowing user to select if he/she wants to keep last form field values

Here is a new enhancement issue in our github
