I made a field entering as content google maps.
I imputed the API key i took from the google maps, entered the field to show up at the pagination.
It terns out in the back end, i enter the lat and long info, but at the front end it shows nothing and in the backend shows:

Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn't load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.

I'm not advanced user, don't have programming skills.
Is there something going on with the function or is it something i'm doing wrong.

Hello

are you trying to use it on "localhost" ?

The API key that you create on Google work on specific domain
e.g. you create a key for mywwwebbbsite.com

I'm using it on server running normally on a hosting company, not on localhost.
I have specified at google the name of the site that will be using the API, eich is of the type: mywebsite.gr .
At the back end of the flexicontent where i should see the map shows me the previously mentioned message.

Hello

after you get an API key,
you need to the edit the "International Address" (GoogleMaps field) and add the ker in its configuration

also make sure you are using FLEXIcontent v3.1.1

Hallo,

"make sure you are using FLEXIcontent v3.1.1 "
OK, I have upgraded to the latest version 3.1.1

"after you get an API key"
OK, I have it and entered it at the FLEXicontent map field i created

"you need to the edit the "International Address" (GoogleMaps field)"
I'm not able to find where it is, is it in the field i created in the FLEXIcontent?

" add the ker in its configuration"
What is the "ker"?

Before updating to last version, at the frontend it wasn't show anything, now when i enter the page, for an instance (miliseconds) shows a map, and after it shows a gray field writing: "Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn't load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details."

Thank U!
Makis

Hello

"Ker" was a mis-typing of "Key"

see the picture of where to enter the key
please note that if you create a key for a different
website (different domain) then it will not work, and you will get the message that you get
it will show for a second then display :
Oops! Something went wrong.

It turned out that from the very beginning the problem was that i had entered the API number at the field "Google Maps Javascript API Key" and not at the right one: "Google Maps Static API Key" :)

Problem solved!
Ευχαριστώ!

An other think about the maps, i had gave to it initially a position to show up, lets say "top1".
Afterwords i have changed the position to, lets say "bottom1"
At any new article i put the lat & long, the field of the map shows up at the position tpo1 and not at the bottom1, as it should, following the template.
