Is it possible to open pdf directly on a new window?

Hi,

With a files field we can download or view a file.

My problem is that my client wants to open directly the pdf in a new window not in a pop-up and not download it.

Is it possible? and if yes how?

yes you can,
- you can do it without creating a custom layout to modify the existing layout of file field
(creating custom layout is always an alternative)


You need to select "Yes, custom Text" instead of "Yes"

- due to a bug if you select "Yes" the option to open in new window is hidden
(easy fix for next release)

To use this option now, select "Yes, custom Text"

Note that the "new window" is usually "New browser TAB" for most browsers. (It depends on current browser configuration)
