I think I found the reason of the problem.
I am using AdminTools and in the setting of the htaccess maker, I just added the following exception in the server protection part/ Allow access to these files section:
components/com_flexicontent/librairies/phpthumb/phpThumb.php
And now it works fine even with resize.

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
