Page Slow Loading - only with FlexiContent

We use cloud hosting with Rackspace for all of our hosting - including our clients. However that doesn't fix issues like this when they come up.

Were you using LoadImpact.com tomonitor the loading of a website for the HTTP interactions that you talked about earlier or do you use another tool?

Generally for everyday use I use the HttpFox extension in Firefox.
I use this with AllVideos Reloaded testing and support as it quickly shows me which files are being called, and 404s, etc.
And it shows the download time for each page element.
It really is an essential tool for web developers.

In this particular case I was using HttpWatch on Firefox.
It supplies more info, shows graphical download time, and has more features than HttpFox.
And you can use HttpWatch with Internet Exploder.
But it is commercial, and expensive.

The Firefox Tamper Data extension also provides a graphical representation of the download times for each page element.

The one I would install first for everyday use is HttpFox.

Hint: set the option for it to open in its own window.

The HttpWatch website has a tutorial for their product which is really good for learning about what you are looking at in HttpWatch as well as in HttpFox.

Install the HttpWatch Basic demo version and you can do the tutorial and learn about the HTTP interactions.
The demo version only works on a few websites, such as their own website.
But that allows you to do the entire tutorial.
May take an hour or so, but it is really good info.

The many of the same features are also in HttpFox,
so the training will help use HttpFox too.

I`m having trouble with flexicontent pages are loading too slowly for me. In the website www.imt.usp.br

Installed Gzip and a few compressions modules and sometimes the pages load in more than 5 to 10 seconds i think is too slow.

Any idea why this is happenning. I have already activated flexicontent cache.


Please let me know if there`s any new on this thread.
