Ok i tried the flexicontent module and tried some parameters to show the categroy title + category desc. and i got that :
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'FROM jos_categories AS c WHERE c.id = 24' at line 1 SQL=SELECT c.id, c.title, c.description, FROM jos_categories AS c WHERE c.id = 24

think it was nice to report.

As you can see there is a comma just before FROM
that is causing the problem.

You can try to remove this comma.
The code is at the end of file:
modules/mod_flexicontent/helper.php

or wait for next beta of v1.5.6 which has more bugfixes.
