flexibreak and SEF was created by gcprnet
Is there a way to make the output of the flexibreak plugin search engine friendly? I need to use the reload version and it's output now is
Code:
.../category/article-title?showall=&start=1
but I want the output to be something like:
Code:
.../category/article-title/page-1
Best regards

Hello

Joomla 1.5 did not have SEF URL for these

- does J2.5 have ? (sure i can test if it has, just asking to save some time)
if so maybe we will add to our flexibreak plugin too

Would it be possible to add this for Joomla 1.5 at all?

Hello

you are talking about a J1.5 site ?

currently there is no plan to release for J1.5 a newer version, maybe a beta with little support for it

the problem is the following:
We need to lower our bounce rate. Users stay on the page for about 2-3 minutes which shows that they read the article but they don't click on any links to view other pages. So we tried to break the articles into multiple pages via pagebreak plugin but this didn't seem to work as google seems to treat all pages with the same url and ?start=x as one page.
I did disable the canonical tag for these articles too and I also set the "showall=2" link to nofollow. but this didn't help too.
Our boss doesn't want to migrate to Joomla 2.5 if the bounce rate isn't fixed before. (He'd rather quit the project then).
So what I need is something like a path that allows sef for the pagebreak plugin (flexibreak or content/plg_bagebreak)
Best Regards

hello

but FLEXIcontent flexibreak is already compatible with SEF links and in fact it does it like this:
(both J1.5 and J2.5)

flexicontent.org/downloads/latest-versio...ml#LatestChangesv212

flexicontent.org/downloads/latest-versio...ml#LatestChangesv211

it uses anchors (so you can and you should leave the canonical turned on)

see this article:
flexicontent.org/downloads/latest-version.html
