Problem with installation of FLEXIcontent v2.0.2 r1679 r1680

Hello,
I am trying to install FLEXIContent - 2.0.2 - r1679 -- (or -- r1680 --) [for Joomla 2.5] on my web server (Joomla 2.5.9 / PHP 5.3.21) as a super admin. However, I cannot complete the installation process. When I am being asked to "Please create at least one category to start using the application. Click HERE to proceed." and follow the link, I get the error message "You are not authorized to execute create task. ..." (see attachment). According to the configuration panel of FLEXIcontent the user "admin" is allowed to create categories. What am I missing? How can I solve the problem?

Hello, is it an existing site? a new site?

NOTE uninstall FLEXIcontent deletes FLEXIcontent extended data, but now you have none (1st install), right?

So since you have just installed FLEXIcontent, do this:
1. uninstall FLEXIcontent
2. then go to Joomla article manager
3. Check do you have categories?
create a new one
4. logout-relogin and then re-install FLEXIcontent and retry , and if you still have problem , then you can send me a PM with admin ACCESS to check for a possible bug

You were right: I tried to set up FLEXIcontent v2.0.2 r1679 on a new website without having a category defined in the Joomla category manager. When I followed your instructions, the installation process was completed successfully.

this is a joomla error and not a FLEXIcontent error

Either your
1. you 'tmp' folder has wrong path
2. or your 'tmp' or other folder have wrong permission or wrong ownership
3. or your domain does not have enough space

if the above do not help ... Google it ...
e.g. look at this at joomla forums:

The following applies to installing FLEXIcontent and other relative large Joomla components

(a). PHP (web server) limitations
-- regarding upload FLEXIcontent installation file 2-4 MBs
-- executing times of the installation script

Please go to Joomla's System Information, and then inside TAB PHP information,
and make sure that you have at least the following in your .htaccess (may require restart web server),
or ask your WebHost Provider to do it:

php_value upload_max_filesize 15M
php_value post_max_size 15M
php_value max_input_time 300
php_value max_execution_time 300
php_value default_socket_timeout 300
php_value max_input_vars value 5000

* number 5, may help with "mysql server has gone aways"
* number 6, may help when being unable to save FLEXIcontent component configuration
ALSO consider disabling FTP layer in Joomla configuration if you have it enabled

(b) MySQL server Limitations

Please check that you have at least the following in the mysql.ini of your MySQL Server
or ask your WebHost Provider to do it:
