You can install / select a different backend Joomla template to change the appearance of the TABs

For reference, Flexicontent is horribly broken when using J3.2 Isis admin template. Bearing in mind this is the default template, it's quite poor. Switching to 'Hathor' makes it at least passable, but not really good enough. In addition, the publish state dropdowns on article lists are also broken (displaying the full list). I'm guessing this is missing a js library.

Further to my other post here I was on the latest download on the live site (r1686) - Now updated to r1841 and seems to be better.

r1686 was never compatible with J3.x !

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
