Release cycle slows down. why?

There are no updates for 4 months if I am not mistaken. Is there a reason for the slowed down development? Is there (probably a vague) date for the next update and a list of added features to look forward?

cheers

Hello

due to extensive development, releasing too often makes support more difficult

but as i said above development has not slow down

Ah, very good!

Is there (probably a vague) date for the next update and a list of added features that made it into the next release?

I need to make a decision for my next project.

cheers

Hello

v2.2.0 focus on performance,
about 3 dozens changes in SQL queries and source code to optimize for high performance in large web-sites

e.g. category listing and universal module listing is about 5x faster than joomla

also FACETED filtering performance is 2x-4x faster

made a 250,000 items test site for the purpose of testing

-- what will always be a little expensive is:
a. creation of field HTML, it is not noticable until you try to display more than 100 items per page

b. FACETED filtering when using more than 10,000 or 20,000 items, but v2.2.0 besides making it faster 2x-4x faster, also puts a -sanity- limit: if current search returns more than 10,000 items then do not count items per filter value

and our FACETED filtering is DB-based !! no apache solr or Sphinx needed, and despite improvement in v2.2.0 , we know how to make it faster in a future version

about features that is also is quite long list, will make a changelog for final release

and surely you can use v2.2.0 r1887 BETA for new web-site, will make a post here or in our download section too

Regards

Great!

I looked at code.google.com but could not see v2.2.0 r1887 BETA. Where would I download that?

Would it be possible to publish the feature list before the final release?

Thanks
