504 Gateway Timeout was created by thatch10

My host provides clustered hosting which appears to be slower that the standard linux hosting that they provide, I suspect due to the clustering. When attempting to update Flexicontent on the clustered hosting I keep getting a 504 gateway timeout. I am investigating the clustered hosting as I can use SSL on their shared hosting (they don't support it on the standard Linux product)

Is there anyway I can modify the core files to prevent this timeout?

Is there an option to load flexicontent files individually to allow me to keep this up to date?

Hello

max_execution_time should not be a problem
since we do not do any thing costly during installation / update

Propaply it is an issue with getting the package file ?

Try increasing
max_input_time

and better try both
php_value max_input_time 60

and you may also try:
php_value max_input_time 60
php_value max_execution_time 60
