Image Field, cant remove Image, Field is greyed [SOLVED]

Hy,
sorry for my bad english.

Testet with Flexi 1.5.3 / 1.5.4 and 1.5.5 and joomla 1.5.23

the problem i have an image field, that ok .
adding the image -> ok
but when i will change the image I can only delete the image but do not remove, the remove bottom is grey.

help please

Now about the remove thing:

I think, you are right,
maybe when you are allowed to delete an image, you should also have the option to click remove so that it remains on the server.

I was just finishing some changes on the image field, so i am looking at it.

But it's the other way, I can delete the image. but I can not remove it.

For example, I load a new image in this article only. If I now want to change the picture I can just delete it. so is the picture but yes also deleted from the server.
I've also tried it once with a new Joomla installation and flexibility. Only a category-one items. the same.

Yes that is what i said in my second part of my previous response.

I will post a modified image field, with
-- (new) required feature,
-- (new) url link option in modal popup
-- ability to choose which thumbnail to display in items
-- enable the remove so that it is left on server, just to check if it causes any problem

I looked at it, if i enable remove the file will remain at the server and will be available to fields of type 'file' under the secure folder, but not to the fields of type 'image'.

The dropdown select box of 'image' fields only list image files assigned to other 'image' fields already. I don't want to change this behaviour, and list all files as this would be a security problem, for sites that have multiple users editing items.

But is not this the same as a normal Joomla Articel?
There, one can also remove an image without which it will be deleted immediately.

I have it tested again, the image in another article, I can remove it without deleting it and even after that it appears in the dropdown list.

Can you possibly tell me what I need to change the code so that I can use the Remove button?

My problem is that I'm about 3000 categories and 25000 posts have and it is unfortunate that I delete the images and can not remove them only if no other post are allocated.

Especially since other authors work on the site the have not the picture and the pictures are not on the server and they are not anymore available.

I hope I'm doing now is not too much work :oops:
